Descrição do cargo
The Legal Counsel will primarily support all the business areas of the Joint Company Volvo do Brasil. As Legal Counsel, you will support all business operations through the coordination of other attorneys, as well as by providing legal services and advice to various projects.

This position will directly report to the Director - Legal & Compliance

Main activities and responsibilities:
·  Legal support to Volvo business areas to achieve commercial objectives, participating in the process, identifying and advising on the legal risks involved in the operations as well as taking initiatives and providing solutions to avoid or minimize risks;
·  Promote compliance with laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of the Volvo Group;
·  Provide training on legal and compliance issues, as well askeep the organization updated about changes in legislation that may affect the business;
·  Preparation, analysis/review of contracts and documents in general;
·  International distribution and importer agreements in Portuguese, English and Spanish;
·  Development of new contracts for Volvo Group products;
·  Participate in negotiations with the Volvo dealer association;
·  Prepare legal advice in various legal matters, as well as advice and guidance on risks and opportunities associated with various business opportunities;
·  Interface with certification and regulatory bodies;
·  Manage external legal service providers;
·  Preparation of reports to headquarters and other group companies;
·  Coordination of other attorneys and/or administrative staff to optimize the work of the Legal Department;
·  Provide clear employee objectives and development through the Company HR tools (PBP/PPI/VGAS/etc.). Provide regular performance feedback and act according to The Volvo Way;
·  To be an inclusive and inspiring leader and attract, motivate, engage, develop and retain talent as well as allocate necessary resources to carry out the activities at hand;
·  Ensure that the area is properly resourced in all respects and has the capacity commitment and competence to achieve the planned objectives;
·  Develop your successor.

Education / Experience Required:
·  University degree in Law, with current OAB Registration;
·  Relevant experience
·  Solid legal knowledge in legal areas related to industrial, commercial and financial issues, in particular: Contracts (with an emphasis on distribution agreement, dealership agreements, supply and international contracts), Corporate Law, Foreign Investment, Labor, Tax, Intellectual Property, Consumer law;
·  Desirable experience in the automotive industry and knowledge of the law Renato Ferrari;
·  Experience in companies, working as in-house counsel or equivalent;
·  Experience with people management, ability to work both individually and in groups, communication and teamwork;
·  Problem-solving skills, negotiation skills and commercial interest in the area;
·  Professionalism, integrity, creativity;
·  Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point);
·  Fluency ( spoken and written) in English;
·  Fluency (spoken and written) in Spanish.
